RACE 2 # 2 ONE STEP BEYOND (5-2) Blinkers go on after missing by a head at 30 k, now drops to 20 k for a money run. Doesn’t face any world beaters here and the blinkers going on means that trainer Freeman wants him closer to the lead and is the best closer in the field. This gelding is sitting on a win.

RACE 4 # 1 HOWIN (5-2) Drops into a 40 OC race after running 2nd and 3rd in her last two races that happen to be GRADE 3 races. Baffert has put in 4 solid works into colt, and she is head and shoulders and way above this field in CLASS and SPEED. She also gets LASIX for the first time. Trainer 37% winners with 1st time lasix. The 5/2 morning line looks more like 7/5 at the post. But it is just another SINGLE in the early PICK 5!!!

RACE 7 # 4 BIG BILL (7-2) Comes into the race as a first time gelding, finished 2nd of 12 first time out sprinting on the turf. Was very keen and rank in his last race and was uncomfortable the whole race. Now stretches out to a mile for trainer Mark Glatt, and the word has it is the BIG BOY has figured everything out and has his mind on racing going back to Cal-bred maidens, instead of open company. 3 works since being gelded has him on point.
